On the hunt again. Looking for a Shavemac 3 band Silvertip, not looking for Finest. Looking for 24-26mm BULB knot with handle height approximately 53-60mm. 

Would also consider an artisan brush with a 3 band Silvertip bulb knot.

I'm bundling these two together because of shipping costs. Thought they'd make a nice pair anyway:

Whipped Dog Silvertip Badger - 20mm x 44mm knot - handle is 47mm tall. Really fantastic value Silvertip 3-band. Not much backbone but not floppy with zero scritch and it hasn't lost one hair. Used about a dozen times.

NOS Art of Shaving tallow Sandalwood shaving soap. As pictured - no box. Only time it's been in the sunlight and out of a plastic bag since I purchased it is for the photograph.

Aftershave containers?

After a near fatality from dropping an aftershave bottle (wish I had the catch on video!), it reminded me how much I don't like glass bottles in the bathroom.  Is there a specific reason splashes come in glass?  Most balms seem to come in plastic.  Brut, Aqua Velva, Skin Bracer, Old Spice and Clubman all come in plastic.  Why can't the "artisans"?

Why is it so difficult to...

...load the dishwasher in an orderly, effective manner so that things actually get clean?

...squeeze the toothpaste tube from the bottom?

...put a fresh roll of toilet paper ON the roller rather than placing it on TOP of the roller?

...use a turn signal when turning into oncoming traffic?

...say "you're welcome" rather than "no problem” in response to "thank you?"

I feel much better now.

Anyone else with minor gripes?

LThis iconic brush needs no introduction, but it has to go because it's too dense and has too much backbone for me; I like cloud-like 3-band silvertips from Thater and shavemac.  I'm the original owner and the brush is in excellent condition.  It comes with the original box.  Specs: knot 23 mm X 47 mm; handle 41 mm high.  Retails at Bullgoose and West Coast for US127.50, and Fendrihan Canada for Can$155 ex. HST.  MY PRICE US$85, which includes tracked postage from Canada and PP fee.

Dating 2 Plissons

I recently acquired my first 2 Plisson brushes and was hoping for some help dating them. Please pardon the lack of vibrancy in the pictures as I was using natural light and its pretty cloudy out today. 

The first on the left is a #3 (or #12) with a 22mm x 56mm knot and came with it's original box and the knot was unused by my judgement. The seller got it from an estate and claimed it was a contemporary model, although I'm not sure of their experience with shaving brushes. It does look similar to the current horn brushes available on the Plisson site. However, the box still has a price tag and it says "400.00" with no currency symbol. Current retail for this model is 425 Euros or about 500 USD. I am the price will give a hint as to the production year. Does anyone know about how long ago this model would have retailed for 400.00 (Euro?).

The second brush is quite small with a 16mm x 51mm knot but surprisingly firm. The owner said it came from a family in France and may have been from the 60s. I searched around and have not seen any other examples of this model. 

Plisson is completely new to me so I'm hoping some of the experienced Plisson users at TSN can help with dating them. Thank you in advance!

Looking to sell 3 Shave Revolution brushes . All brushes are in beautiful condition and present as new . These brushes are not available anymore and are hard to come by . I want to sell all three together . The black and blue brushes are Manchurian and the brown brush is silvertip . All knot sizes are 24mm not sure of the lofts . I have $115 invested in the brushes and will sell all 3 for $110 shipped CONUS . If your looking for a good badger brush at a reasonable price it doesn't get much better then this offer .

FS: Blackland Blackbird 70 mm Polished OC

Up for sale is my Blackland Blackbird Open Comb razor.  This one has the polished finish and comes with two (2) handles, both 70 mm (no longer being produced) and the standard length 85 mm.  The handles are polished also of course.  This razor comes with original fitted hard case shown, the case does have a very faint scratch in the paint.  The razor has been used just a few times, and presents as new ...

 
Retail list on these totals $280 ($215 for the polished OC razor, $65 for a polished handle in 85 mm).  My asking price is $240 for all, including insured shipping conus and PayPal fees.  If you've a question, or would like another picture just let me know.  Thanks

FS: Williams Menthol Shave Soap/Wooden Bowl/Menthol Crystals

Vintage Williams menthol shaving soap 1.75 oz. refill, grated into a nice vintage wooden 'Pickwick' shaving soap bowl, used only 3-4 times.  It makes great lather.  It does not have a lot of menthol effect left, so also included is a 4 oz. ziplocked bag of menthol crystals, out of which I have only used less than 1/2 tsp.  Menthol is just not my thing.  $29 shipped CONUS.

Where are all the Rexes?

I find it odd that after a few initial comments, there is zero buzz about this new razor (Rex ambassador razor).

I ordered mine oct 31 and it's still showing as "awaiting fulfillment."  I sent an email to Razor Emporium a couple of days ago asking for an update but haven't received a response yet.

Is anybody else still waiting for theirs to arrive, or heard any recent news?  Any more reviews as owners have been able to test these out for a bit now?
