I saw this cream in a few SOTD posts from across the pond and thought I might give it a go. I am very happy I did. I was interested in another citrus cream and this one was a pleasant surprise!
First off you get a very nice double walled jar with 200g of product for just over 18 bucks. while that in itself is nice the surprise here is how dense this cream is. It is denser than some of my soft soaps so dipping out a Snurdle (I've always wanted to use Brians term!) and rubbing it on your face isn't the way to go. I can do it but it really is too dense for that. Instead I dip out a small amount into a bowl and load my bush in the bowl.
It lathers quickly! With all types of hair, be it Badger, Horse or Boar. It makes nice creamy yogurt like lather with no effort at all.
The scent is beautiful as soon as you open up the tub. This isn't a bright citrus. As a matter of fact the citrus is only a partner to the other components of this complex scent. I get Bergamot and dry citrus peel with a bit of cedar and lovely white musk. There just might be some sandalwood in there too but it is subdued enough that I like it. Maybe some other things too but it's too complex for me to sort out. It is not what I expected from an Aqua de Colonia. But it is fresh enough for me to like in the summer.
After Shave care is truly good. It softens and moisturizes better than a cream should. It advertises a couple of ingredients that I know nothing about but it obviously works.
It's a keeper for me!
