Gentlemen,
For sale is a variety of good stuff I don't use as much as I should. All prices include U.S. shipping. U.S. sales only. Paypal is fine. No trades, please.

I am re-listing the two Timeless titanium handles. They are in excellent shape. New, the handles are priced at
$50. Each here is priced at $20. The other is the Charcoal Goods hammered brass handle. I have another handle, so this is not needed. This is a really beautiful handle. New, it is priced at $85. Your price is $50. (One Timeless handle sold the other pending)

RazoRock Mamba is a really handsome razor in all stainless steel. If you like mild razors, this will grab your fancy. New, the razor is $49.99. I've used it, probably, seven or eight times. Your price is $39.99.

This RazoRock Baby Smooth in titanium is a surprisingly good shaver, although a wee bit too aggressive for me. It's in perfect condition, since I've used it, probably, five or six times. The razor is listed at $125. Your price is $85.  (SOLD)

I have used this Alumigoose three or four times, if that, so I might as well pass it on. New, the razor is listed at $99. Your price is $75.

Feather Artist Club stainless steel in the faux wood (scotch wood) handle. I bought this razor new some months ago and never used it. It's been sitting in the rack and making faces at me. The razor is listed at $139.95; your price is $100.

Paul Schulze 6/8. This is one of the great Solingen razors of bygone years. The razor is in superb shape, and is shave ready. If you're a newbie or a pro, you will like this sweet razor. $95
[Image: VWHoH9j.jpg]

Erik Anton Berg frameback re-scaled in horn. This is a legendary Swedish razor, dating from the 1890s from what I can tell. These framebacks are a sweet shaving experience. The razor is in excellent shape, a great shaver, and is shave ready. $110

S.A. Brush Co. Ltd: Boar Brush, Australia, c.1930

To add to my slowly growing collection of Australia shaving paraphernalia, a conical, wooden-handled boar brush with twine on the upper half. This brush was made, as can be seen in the photo, by the South Australian (S.A.) Brush Company, Ltd. around 1930.

This company is now far more well-known by most Australians by the latter-day acronym: "SABCO", makers of brushes and brooms, etc.

It appears to have been unused (but not very well clipped around the base of the loft!) but the tips are nice. It would have been a cheap brush in its day. I did find a 1928 advert pricing the brush on special at 2 shillings (2/-). Here is a picture of the little, 90-year-old survivor:

The S.A. Brush Co. was established in South Australia in 1892  by W. E. Hay. Initially, the Company was  small, and its products were hand crafted. In 1930, the factory was in Flinders St, Adelaide. It changed its name to "Sabco: in 1938. The factory:

I found an old advertisement for their brushes in an edition of 'The News', Adelaide, 4 August 1930. It seems they were already informally referring to themselves by 'Sabco' prior to the official name change:

Here is part of the ad from "The Brisbane Courier", dated  24 July 1928 (the day before my father's actual birth date) pricing the wooden-handled brush (look under the ad for the Culmak):

Review of 50+ Soaps

$

I've been a "lurker" on TSN for some time, actively using the BST, but not posting a lot on the forums.  I've been doing extensive soap reviews on a couple other online forums, and thought I'd try and get to know this community by reaching out and posting them here.  Hopefully some folks in this community will find them useful.  As the title states, there are a lot of soap reviews involved, so it may take me some time to post them all here.  Feel free to comment, agree or disagree with my assessments.  I'm always interested to hear what others' experiences are!  Here's the background:

I'm participating in massive soap "pass around" on another forum which gives me the opportunity to pick from and shave with over 100 soap samples.  In addition, I own a bunch of soaps and decided to include them in the comparisons as well.  Along the way, a few friends have sent samples to get my assessments of them as well.

A word about my reviews... They are not intended to give an analytical blow by blow of every element of each soap. I've tried many soaps, and own more tubs than I could use in several years right now, so my goal here will be to find the soaps I like most and compare them to the ones I own and enjoy in order to see if there are a few I love enough to add to my already somewhat excessive inventory.
As such, the two factors I'm seeking in a soap are:
1. I love the smell. -- For me, there are many good soaps that can provide a comfortable BBS shave given good technique. Therefore for me to consider a soap I have to love how it smells before I consider its performance. Because of my allergies, which can make it tougher than usual to smell things at times, I also want the scent strength to be high. YMMV.
2. It has to have "comeback sauce" - in other words, when I finish my shave, I want to think "Wow, I want to shave with that again soon". Several performance factors play into that, but if they all don't work together to create a great shaving experience then it won't get any love in my den. Onward and upward...

New to the forum here but pretty experienced wetshaver. My latest rabbit hole is sharpening. Just getting into stones but I do use regular DE's more than straights mostly because of time in the mornings. Just had a minor surgery and recovering at home so figured I would pop in and say hi.

For your consideration; a cased 1948 Aristocrat #15; 75g of Rhodium luxury; English made Australian set. Considered among the most aggressive Aristocrats and reason being that it does not meet my personal preferences.

Razor was re-plated in Rhodium by Razor Emporium. It is an excellent working order. All moving mechanisms in smooth working order.

The case and blade holder are in excellent order and the felt lining is in great condition. The exterior of the case is in great shape with no rust.

Asking $225 and includes shipping, CONUS. No trades.

Please don't hesitate to ask me any q's.
