Once upon a time I was a guy who was paid to write. This was a good time to be a writer as online outlets were exploding and anyone who could string together sentences with some degree of competence could get a job. Sadly for my writing career things like life, family, and other realities requiring a living wage and a stable working environment popped up and forced me to return to the wonderful world of 9 to 5. My desire to write did not disappear, but it became difficult for me to find the time and motivation to create anything. I began taking on freelance work to both supplement my income and to give me deadlines to work toward (a writer's creativity just can not compete against his laziness unless there are deadlines to meet). The freelance work helped, but it didn't allow me to write anything fun. That's when I decided to create a blog.
I have been keeping a blog for a short while now, mostly as an outlet for me to write things which entertain me, but also to force me to write something as close to every day as possible. I had never really considered writing a blog before, but I figured that if it gave me a way to write whatever I felt like and a small audience to rant at, then it was worth the effort. At this point I have a handful of posts and I have gained a small following of readers, so I figure my blog is doing exactly what I wanted it to do. I still have to tweak some settings and do a little clean up work, but for now I am happy with the results.
If you find yourself with nothing to do, then pop on by and read a few posts. Right now a good portion of my content is shaving related, but I also have a few fiction pieces and some general ramblings as well. Much of what I have is a bit rough, but I hope to expand soon and to add some more interesting bits of fiction. I am new to the whole blogging thing, so any suggestions or comments that you might have are appreciated.

Enjoy.
