The Gillette 7 O'Clock SharpEdge is undoubtedly a top shelf blade....they are sharp, smooth and seem to work well in most razors. I personally do not find them quite as smooth, nor as durable as a Super Iridium but, they are one of my top three favorite blades. Like must Russian blades made in the St. Petersburg plant, these blades have the wax spots on them. The wax spots do not detract from the performance of the blade but if they bother you, a quetip with nail polish remover will effortlessly remove the spots for you. I do not bother with the quetips but I do make sure to put the wax spots facing down...especially if using a TTO razor.
