Too much Neatsfoot oil

I have an old strop I oiled up several months ago, and was enjoying it but over time I've found I prefer a lighter draw. I know eventually the oil will evaporate and the strop will become lighter and faster but I'd like to help speed that up if I can , does anyone have any suggestions how to absorb the remaining oil?
