I think I received my best shave ever last night. I soaked my Semogue Owners Club and the Mikes soap I received from a purchase here while showering. Usually I have a hard time lathering soaps, but I went to town loading the brush last night. I then lathered up and went to town with my 34C and a Gillette Silver Blue blade. I had also applied some Proraso pre shave while lathering and then just rinsed off while wetting face before applying lather.
I have a hateful adams apple and never get a close shave on my neck area at all because of it. Well last night I did a usual 1st pass, north to south on top of face and then south to north on the neck. I then said what the heck and tried to do a left to right into the adams apple. I could hear the blade taking the hairs off. I then said what the heck and did a north the south pass on the 3rd pass. I must say this was the smoothest my neck has ever been. Followed up with some Aqua Velva and man it felt great. I don't know if it was the Mikes, the Proraro pre or the new XTG on the neck, but whatever it was worked. I was also surprised at the ease of lathering Mikes. I will definitely be purchasing some more of his scents in the near future.
