Hi Everyone,

My name is Justin Clark. I'm a 30 year old single father of two young children and a veteran of both OIF and OEF. I am currently reaping the benefits of the Post 9/11 Montgomery GI Bill attending the University of Southern Maine in the second semester of my junior year. I'm a double-major in Accounting and Marketing. I love sports of all kinds, the outdoors and the ocean.

I learned to shave with a 1959 Red Tipped Super Speed. In fact, I've only used a cartridge razor for maybe six months of the sixteen years I've been shaving; in basic training and in field exercises. I've got a decent collection of DE razors and brushes. Both collections are more-or-less complete as far as I'm concerned but you never know. I turn brushes as a hobby and I think I'm getting pretty good. My uncle does custom kitchens so I've got all kinds of great materials and tools at my disposal. Here's a shot of my razor collection... most of it anyway..

Right to left: 1934 Aristocrat (top), ATT H1 head on an Ikon Bulldog handle, modern Lord DE, R41 head on a deluxe SS Weber handle, '48-'50 USA Aristocrat, 1970 Super Adjustable, 1964 Slim Adjustable, Pomco Slant, 1959 "Red Tipped" Heavy Model Super Speed.

Not pictured are a 1959 Fat Boy currently being Revamped by Razor Emporium, a 1956 1st edition 1-5 Toggle that's at my father's house (not as nice as it sounds. The plating is almost gone and the head looks like a scratching post) an ATT H2 plate in the box all the razors are set on along with several user grade Techs and Super Speeds that I intend to use to make wet shaving starter kits with along with some Prorasso and one of my hand turned brushes.

And my brush collection:

In the front is a Especially Stubby in High Mountain White and its counterpart, the SuperFine Stubby is mounted on the wall above the rest of them. Right to left: an Omega Boar, a Parker Deluxe Best Badger, a WSP Prince in Two Band HMW, a 20" TGN Super on a hand turned faux ivory handle, 19" TGN F2 on my black resin handle, a 22" TGN HMW on my hand turned maple handle and a 24" TGN Super Finest on a Parker Safety Razor handle. I don't need to buy anymore brushes. The only ones I would even consider are a Simpson CH2 in Super Two Band and a Rooney Stubby 2XL Super Two Band. I kinda want a Shavemac Silvertip and a DaVinci too. We'll see.

My perfect setup varies by the day but always includes an ATT H plate and a Feather blade. Tied for second are the slant, '34 Aristocrat and the R41. I love all of my brushes and have PIFed or sold any that I've made or bought I wasn't fond of. I'm kinda partial to my WSP HMW Stubby at the moment. I'm also really into shaving sticks at the moment. I like La Toja and South African Williams sticks the best. I almost always use soaps; creams once in a blue moon. I like Tabac, Yardley and D.R. Harris the best but there are plenty more. I use either Clubman or discontinued (and expensive!) Candies for Men actresses.

That's me. Any questions just ask. I look forward to meeting you guys and contributing to the forum.

Regards,
Justin
