Now onto the items. They are:

  1. Gillette New Long Comb with nickel re-plated head and original ball end handle. Asking $35 (re-plate cost me $18+shipping)
  2. Gillette Milord (1946 from my estimation) in user grade. asking $15
  3. TGN two band finest knot set into a solid resin handle from Whipped Dog. Asking $40
  4. Fuller clear handle restored with Omega boar knot from TGN. Asking $10.

1. Gillette New Long Comb re-plated in nickel by Krona Cruiser. Only the head is re-plated. I used this head on top of an Ikon SS bulldog handle. The original handle that comes with this razor is the ball end and has three cracks in the tube. These cracks are very typical for this age and style handle. I have stabilized the handle with epoxy and the cracks are 100% sealed. the handle does not exhibit any fatigue or movement at all it is rock solid. Probably more solid than when it was new. However it looks cracked as can be seen from the pictures.

2. Gillette Milord in user condition. This, based on my research is from 1946. It has an un-notched center bar and no date code. 100% operational and smooth opening and closing the doors.

3. Brush made (by myself) with TGN two band finest knot in Whipped Dog solid resin handle. Knot is (approximately) 22mm and the loft is (approximately) 49mm. this brush has the coveted hooked tips and is amazingly soft on the face, yet has incredible backbone. Amazing face lathering brush.

4. Fuller handle with Omega boar knot from TGN. The knot size is (approximately) 24mm and the loft is (approximately) 50mm. I have cracked the handle in a few places during the restoration process, but have fully stabilized the handle. It is rock solid and cracks are only visual impairments. This brush is pretty much broken in with most tips split. It is a great brush that still looks and performs beautifully despite the cracks.
