Greetings Gentlemen...
As I'm reknotting a GBS brush that my wife bought for me off Amazon, I was wondering if others have experienced the surprise purchase by their significant others that turned out to be not up to our "evolved" shaving standards?
My wife is a kind and wonderful woman, who is very supportive of my hobbies and I'm very lucky to have her in my life. For special occasions (i.e. big purchases), she'll usually ask what I want and I'll point her to it. However, occasionally she wants to do something small and nice without me knowing, and will look for a new shaving product to surprise me with. Of course, she does this without being fully aware of how particular we wet shavers can be, with our own suppliers that are little known outside of this world. Granted I am, of course, at least partially to blame since I never really explained this to her
.
So I have a small collection of shaving products that live in the bottom of my bathroom cabinet that I'll just never use for their intended purpose. Some soaps I use to break in new brushes, some A/S's have helped my bathroom take on a different scent, and my son likes to play with the brushes that aren't reknot candidates.
I'll be the first to admit that not all of MY purchases have been winners either
...my questionable purchases certainly take up more room.
I did get some winners from her though...Cade and a WSP Stubby are examples of two excellent surprises.![Thumbsup Thumbsup]()
Anyone else run into similar circumstances? Just curious...
