I have a habit of keeping only one pen inked at a time, and got tired of using an Edison today (it's been in use for a few weeks), so I flushed it out and set it aside. To replace it, I took out a NOS Pelikan M200 in translucent green that I picked up from Deutsche Pens awhile ago. Pelikan doesn't make these anymore, but the vendor has a few remaining stock (and also has them in translucent red). Being translucent, it's a nice demonstrator, and you can see the vaunted Pelikan piston fill mechanism in action. The pen I have included a gold, medium nib that's butter smooth.
I also broke out a new ink, the Pelikan Edelstein Sapphire. I was inspired by Brian's choice of Noodler's Bernanke, and wanted to use something different from my usual blue-black. This is a very nice bright blue that is similar to J. Herbin's Eclat de Saphir, but seems a little brighter and a bit less saturated. I have a bunch of writing to do next week, and am looking forward to this combination.
I owe you all a bunch of pics of some Franklin Christophs, and will try to photograph this as well.
