It was a question of time , after my great experiences (and shaves) with the Matador El Gordo (Maggard MR3) and the Matador "El Caballero" , that this Matador "El Gordo Negro" would join my shave nook. And again , Im very please that it did , since for its price , its a great razor.
Shaving wise , there is not much difference between this razor and its sisters : the shave is so smooth and pleasant , as well as effective.I would say that this razor is very similar to the shaves that the Rotbart N15 .Not an aggressive shave , but so effective !
The handle is the same than the Matador "El Gordo" but this one comes with a rubber coating on it , which improves the handgrip.
Its that handgrip dramatically improved if we compare it with the Matador "El Caballero" or "El Gordo".Well , if you are concern about handling a razor with wet hands , I will truly go for this one. However , never had a problem (razor slipping of my hands) with any of them.
This razor has a a weight of 90g (around 3.2 oz) , which is 5 grams less than the Matador "El Gordo" and 6 grams less than Matador "El Caballero" :
But with any of these Matador , your shaves will be amazingly smooth , effective (BBS in 3 passes for me ! ) and inexpensive compared to other brands.
This razor cost 21 , 95 dollars at RazorBladesandMore.
Very happy with these 3 razors !
