FWE resto

Here is a second FWE resto I did for the same client. I had posted his first here which was a straight up restoration. I kept the original faux ivory scales, polished them , did the blade and blued the shaft.

But I had seen another FWE with orange translucent scales that I really liked.
So I built a razor ( the Fraternity posted elsewhere here) in a similar style to the FWE I had seen. Orange scales, blued tang etc.
My client saw my imitation as well as the FWE that inspired it and allowed me to build a duplicate for him using his second razor.
I poured a second batch of acrylic which was closer to the one I had seen and then made some scales. Fortunately the scales on this razor were cracked so I didn't feel so bad.
I removed the fancy bolsters and transferred them to the new scales. I also cleaned up the blade duplicating the original factory textures and blued the shaft/tang as it was at first.
I made small SS washers to duplicate the originals and used NiAg pins.
