So I really never could get a close and pain free shave with any of the DE razors that I have owned (Mergress XL, Muhle r41, many different Slants including all vintage models of Hoffritz and the iKon), Fatboy, Slim, and all kinds of others --- so with trepidation and in a bit of a frustrated moment I went with a drastic change in direction and thought I would use straights .... Which I did, have learned and still enjoy on a lazy Saturday or Sunday .... Then I backpedaled to the Cobra Classic and found a very enjoyable shave .... So I thought I was set.
But then I see Celestino's shave of the day pics and wonder for the past few months --- what is a Weber DLC... I mean I swore them off to where I never even visited the DE forums, now I realize I totally missed the Muhle Jet because of that blunder. :)
And then I put out the WTB and offered up good coin to try one of these bad boys.
Truth is this, I received it yesterday evening, shaved with it this morning with a Gillette Rubie and I honestly got the closest, quickest and more effortless shave I have had in two years.
The DLC is pretty amazing for me. YMMV, but it's a keeper for me.
