After my great experience with the Maggard MR3 (or Matador "El Gordo") safety razor , I had to get this new Matador "El Caballero" and gentlemen , what a great , good looking razor is.

I dont want to bore you with a bunch on blah , blah , blah regarding this razor : for 19,99 dollars is truly a bargain , shaves like the best ones I have (Edwin Jagger/Muhle/Merkur) and its simply eye candy due to its knurling and design.

If you haven't tried the Matador "El Gordo" , I can honestly tell you that shaves smoothly like an old Gillette Super Speed but as effective as a Merkur 34C HD. I don't have a coarse beard , I must say too , but the shaves with this razor last me for over 6 or 7 hours of a BBS , which is a lot , and my skin doesn't suffers an "aggression" like when using other DE razors. No , with this razor , everything is smooth : the shave and the looks.

Its knurling reminds me of the old Gillette Aristocrat and its finishing is quiet decent for its price.Again , this razor is 19,99 dollars. And from the Razor Blades and More page , this is the info about what materials are involved in making this razor :
Quote:The razor is made out of brass and chrome plated. The heads of these razors are chrome plated cast zinc alloy.

The razor is quiet short , so if you have NBA player hands , maybe this is not the one for you.I don't have those kind of bin hands , so I find it perfect , both in balance and weight.

The razor weights 96 g :

While the Maggard MR3 o Matador "El Gordo" weights one gram less , 95 :

And you can see how beautiful is this razor compared to the other one :

While some of its finishing could be improved , but again , we are talking about 20 bucks for a razor , I find it not only perfect for somebody who wants to enjoy an introductory DE razor and not spend too much money on it , but also if you are looking for a travel razor (with a lot of style !) , for who is looking for a smooth , very effective shaver , or just another good looking razor to add to the collection.

Again for 20 dollars , you cant go wrong with this El Matador "Caballero".
