The T&H Moonjava Best Badger is a wonderful brush, with a colorful style reminiscent of Carnaby Street 1968 (or an Austin Powers movie). The ordering process through Silvertip Shave (Truefitt & Hill NA) was superb, with Todd helping me thru a few questions en route. The brush itself is ergonomically spot on - great balance in the hand, and very good face feel.
Measurements:
Handle 50mm
Knot 22 mm
Loft 48 mm
Breaking the brush in was effortless. It has yet to shed a hair. Taking my trusted Mitchell's Wool Fat for the test drive I do with all new brushes, this baby face lathered up nice and quickly. The first face lather had a bit above average on the scritchiness scale, but by shave 4, it is progressing very normally. Flow through is very good, and it doesn't soak up tons of water. Density is average, and backbone +average as you'd expect for a Best Badger. The packaging was similar to a Simpson's in a nice red box, and the brush very well wrapped in tissue.
For $49 USD it's a great value for a high quality brush. This Moonjava will be in my rotation for a long time. Yeah baby!
