per-blan menthol tooth powder

i had for a long time wanted to try the belgian made per-blan tooth powder. all my life i used nothing but tooth paste from various makers - although for the last few years i quit corporate made tooth paste crap and started using e.g. weleda (terrible consistency) and lately swissdent (very good but overly expensive + crap ingredients). i have now made it into the powder section and boy what a nice and refreshing new experience!

the per-blan menthol it is. the strength of the menthol is pretty laid-back but clear - and the consistency of the plant-based powder itself does not feel abrasive as i feared it might - the particles beeing less than 7 micrometer in diameter. its all natural and lack of crap ingredients is nothing but a big plus.

i followed the instructions on the cardboard box: put water on my high quality/low price japanese made horsehair toothbrush and shook it - dipped/tapped the tips lightly in the powder to get a moderate layer - ready to go. i am used to toothpaste that foam excessively - and despite me beeing big-mouthed at times - the foam often than not likes to run - if i'm lucky it hits my sweater. not so here! the powder will indeed foam but just enough.

the feeling afterward was very pleasent and clean. everything with the per-blan tooth powder is in my opinion just right. i don't see myself changing my newfound dental cleansing agent anytime soon. a stayer!

price payed us$ 4.5 for a cool retro looking blue box of 30 grams that will probably last a couple of months.
