On the Christmas wish list thread I mentioned a paper embosser for our return address.
I did so web searching and now know more than I ever thought about embossers. I wanted to emboss our address on the corner of an envelope but that does not seem possible. The embossers are designed to put the address on the envelope flap.
You also have to worry about orientation. The can be top or bottom feed. Top feed is to put a monogram or seal on the top of a piece of stationery. Bottom feed is used for envelope flaps or to put a monogram of seal at the bottom of a page.
The handheld embossers are less expensive than a desk model. But in the reviews people constantly mention how hard it was to exert enough pressure with the hand held models. I figured that mean a desk top model for us.
I gave all this info to ML and she said to just order it. I ordered from Acornsales.com and got the desk address embosser.

Shipping is free.
I will let you know how it works and what I think of it the day after Christmas.
I would be interested to hear others experience with embossing stationery.
