I made this handle to fit my EJ DE89 and I shaved with it for the first time on Saturday. I used an Astra SP blade and Nivea Sensitive Skin canned goop (don't knock it till you try it Wink) . I was sporting a 3 day beard and I was itching to give this handle n razor a run to see how it felt overall. Once I loaded the blade I actually felt that I was handling live high explosives......... I did not want to drop it! I had to make sure my hands were free of any lather and that I had a slip free grip on the handle.

I proceeded to go WTG then XTG with a touch up for a final pass going WTG again. I was very close to BBS but I was starting to get some slight irritation on my neck so I decided that was good for now.

I disabled the warhead and placed the razor and handle back in the explosives magazine to be ready for another encounter when the time comes.

What did I learn from using a handle that weighs close to half a pound? Pressure Control, Razor to Shave Angle and Firm Grip.
All I really had to do was get the angle correct and actually allow the weight of the razor to carefully fall down my face. I did not need to apply any pressure due to the wight of the handle and as long as I kept the angle at 20* to 25* I would get a nice clean shave.
Basically I just supported the weight of the handle and used my elbow for a good stable, linear movement.

Thank you for looking,
