We had house guests recently for a 4 day stay.
There last day at our place was a work day for my spouse and I. Left them with directions to the highway and a key to lock up as they left.
Came home that evening and found my shaving brush soaking wet and sitting in my mug of soap which was also wet.
My brain could not even process the thought that they helped themselves to my shave gear. Shock, annoyance, disgust and anger all fought for dominance in my brain.
I took apart my razor and chucked the blade. After washing both the razor and brush with bathroom cleaner I soaked them in Listerine for two hours. Then two hours in isopropyl alcohol. I also filled my shave soap mug with alcohol.
After this cleaning I felt safe enough to use the gear.
But why would someone use another's shave gear? Talk about unsanitary.
Close family member by marriage. My spouse has forbidden me from mentioning the incidence to the offending party.
