Slickness coefficient with razor head

I recently picked up a Merkur 34 in gold and I can tell that the chrome version is tad slicker on the face.  

I am wondering if the gold is more pours, software metal, or the lacquer on top of gold is tacky and it may need more use.  I used the same soap and new blade each time to make sure I am not biasing the delta.  The difference is small but noticeable. 

Out of the materials out there which are the slickest for razor heads, Chrome, Aluminum, Titanium, Gold, Stainless, etc?
