My Review/Opinion

On recommendation of someone on another forum (yes, I do visit other forums) I purchased this shaving kit, plus I added the round puck soap in container for convenience.

I was not expecting much to tell the truth, but was I ever surprised. I knew the soap was going to make a good shaving lather after using the soap bar to pre-wash my face. Just a ton of lather in the hand. After rinsing I applied 5-drops of the pre-shave oil and rubbed it into my whiskers and face. I then used one of my boar brushes to build a rich thick lather. After my usual two passes, my face was very smooth and the skin felt refreshed. The aftershave is very refreshing (and it does remind me of the old barbershop days) but the scent does not last long.

Overall I would say this was $30.00 well spent. This will never replace my standard go to shave goodies, but it will get used once or twice a month.
