E7 HMW Special Grade 3 Band in Amboyna Burl

The cousin of my already discussed E7 HMW Special Grade 2 Band in Desert Ironwood just arrived and got his cleaning and first palm lathering.

Like the E7 in Ironwood the brush in Amboyna Burl is truly stunning! Thank you, Bob, for this masterpiece!

Knot: 24/50mm
Handle: 58mm

The knot is a WSP HMW Special Grade 3 Band of which Lee says: This special grade is characterized as a more intense version of the High Mountain White hair. The hair is a little more resilient and the tips can only be described as luxurious.

The tips feel very soft (how soft compared to the 2 Band Special Grade and other 3 bands I own I will figure out tomorrow). Naturally, the knot has less backbone than the 2 Band. It is of medium density allowing for great flow through.
