Deep Cleaning Your Brush - How Often?

Hi All,

I remember reading a tip from Mantic59 when I first got into traditional wet shaving that we should deep clean our Shave Brush once a year (I think he said in... Vinegar? (correct me if I'm wrong)).

Some questions for all the Brush Gurus out there:

1. So is Vinegar the ideal cleaner for the annual "Deep Clean" of your Brush?

2. For someone with Hard Water (so more mineral deposits / residue build-up), would you recommend more than 1 time per year?
