I understand that for most of our artisans the making of shave soap is a second income. Somehow though, most of the artisans manage to get their products out in a very timely fashion. I've placed order and two days later poof my order is at my door.
I have now ordered twice from Mike. I like his product, but the first time shipping was slow and Mike replied to an e-mail that the issue was a fluke due to something or other (I can no longer recall what the reason was). On June 24 I placed an order for an in stock soap. I paid extra for expedited shipping. I just received notification that Mike has printed the shipping label and is prepping my order for shipment. I should receive it on the 12th. That's EIGHTEEN days for expedited shipping from New York to Chicago. Several days after the Mike's order I placed an order for 2 JabonMan soaps. They shipped 2 days later, and should arrive at my house from Spain Wednesday or Thursday. It should not take several days longer for an order to get to me from Brooklyn than from Spain.
So this is now twice in two orders where it has taken forever to get my product from Mike. Is this standard? Am I exceptionally unlucky? Why the heck doesn't his site state up front it may take two plus weeks for him to get around to shipping my product? If I had seen the warning, I certainly would not have paid extra for expedited shipping as at this point what would another day or so mean?
