I just tested my newly acquired two M¨hle STF v2 brushes.
One Mühle Sophist African Blackwood STF v2 in 23 mm and one Mühle Classic Faux Horn STF v2 in 25 mm and I have to say I'm quite impressed.
Both seems softer than STF v1 hair.
They have better backbone, while being soft at the tips - a thing only 2-Band badger brushes so far has provided me in feel.
They create lather faster, more explosive and better than ANY of the 100+ high end badger brushes I have used so far in my traditional wet shaving journey.
I have ultra hard water in Copenhagen Denmark, and creating a proper lather takes maybe 4-5 minutes, some times even more, while the same lather can be made in 1 minute with soft water. Just look at Teiste Youtube videos. The guy makes lather just from looking at the brush![Biggrin Biggrin]()
Also they dry extremely fast, the face feel is surprisingly good, if not excellent on my skin.
I liked both brushes, the larger one created lather faster, but I lost a little bit of control, the smaller one took longer, but I was more precise with that.
In fact I liked them both so much, that I seriously think of dumping my badger brush collection now. Not sure, but consider it as an option.
I might decide to keep my Top 10 badgers, and sell the 40 something of the rest, not sure yet. But I'm pretty sure I'm going the synthetic way now also, just like Teiste has chosen to (in his case because he is going vecan, but also because the performance is there)
