Crabtree & Evelyn Super Badger

One of my new brushes arrived the other day and has far exceeded the expectations I had for it.

It's an old model Crabtree & Evelyn (EJ) Super Badger which arrived new and unused from an ebay auction.





It's specs are:

Knot: 25mm
Loft: 60mm
Handle (H X W): 50mm x 42mm

Now being a bowl latherer I'm partial to the occasional floppy brush and this is by far the floppiest brush I've ever used.

It puts my Kent BK12 to shame in the respect and doesn't have a hint of scritch or backbone at all. It is the epitome of a pillow-soft brush.

I wouldn't advise putting it near a soap or even trying to face lather with it - it's most definitely a cream and bowl brush.

The knot splays far more than any other brush I've owned as can be seen in the comparison photo with my BK12 below:



All in all, for £43 is has proven to be a great purchase and has secured a definite place in my collection.
