Yesterday, via Bruno of vintagescent, I received a new prototype from Semogue. ![Smile Smile]()
It is one of the prototypes for some new Limited Edition brushes, to be made for the members of the Portuguese wet-shaving forum BarbearClassico.com
The handle is made of cherrywood, and the shape is inspired by an old Semogue model (Semogue 208).
As for the knots, there will be 3 options available. 100 units of each hair type will be produced:
- "Cerda" (Boar, Premium 90% tops, 22x50mm)
- "Mistura" (a mix of 2-band Finest Badger and Premium 90% tops boar, 22x50mm)
- "Texugo" (2-Band Finest Badger, 22x50mm)
The boar knot was inspired in the knot of the 1305 model - same type of hair, probably the same type do soft tips once broken, but with a short loft that will appeal to facelatherers.
The badger knot was inspired in the SOC 2-band - think of it as a smaller version of the SOC.
3 prototypes were made, one for each type of hair, and were sent to 3 different testers... I chose to test the boar model. Here's some photos of what I have received. A beauty of a brush, for sure!

Other Portuguese members are right now testing the other two models; the badger model...

As soon as the test are finished, the production will start - soon, we hope!
All the best, and I hope that you liked reading this!
