These are both catch and release..

The Hart Steel.. crazy chunk of good old American steel. I bought it about three weeks ago, I am the second owner, and the square tip is too much for me to keep track of.. cut myself twice.

6/8 Satin finished Square point.

Rosewood scale (one piece Hart original). Closes tight and smooth and dead on center. There was a very faint mark on the blade just below the spine that was tape residue. The blade is polished to perfection without a spot on it.. It just came back from being honed and is shave ready for sure. Recently treated with Renescance Wax and oiled. Ready to go. Includes original box, deer skin sheath, hex key for pivot pin and Hart Steel oil, all in unused condition.

$200 via Paypal. Shipping in the US included. Outside the US to be discussed.

Next up.. If the square point on the Hart is scary for me, imagine this one.. It's a western grind, kamisori style straight. It's been honed and is as shave ready as it can be. The handle is some kind of resin with wax impregnated bamboo wrapping. I don't have a solid history on it, though I believe I am the third owner and it may have started life as a Gold Dollar that was very nicely reshaped. Pretty cool item. Blade is clean with no sign of any kind of nasties. I would estimate it to be a half to three quarter hollow.

I've shave with it maybe three times and it sings a different song than I.. we don't see eye to eye, so she must go.

$35 via Paypal. Shipping in the US included. Outside the US to be discussed.

All prices are firm.. Thanks TSN!!

As an alternative, I would consider a trade of the Hart for another straight, though my preferences are pretty tight.. 7/8 or larger, French or barber's notch, sway back with a gentle smile, half hollow to wedge, shoulderless and jimps preferred, the longer the tang the better. If you have something that fits this, vintage or custom, let's discuss. For the right razor, I would consider adding cash if needed...
