Well, I figured I mine as well bring up this issue I have noticed on a few of the forums lately. Over the past few months I have noticed people in their BST posts selling items and stating shipping to US/CAN and international please enquire, Or US 48 only etc.
Well, Now it has turned into CON US only on majority of posts. I have always figured it was an international forum for all members to enjoy it didn't matter where you were located. I find it very unfair that the forums are going from everyone welcome to buy to now only US buyers. I understand for AS alcohol based products.
The way I look at it as we are all friends here and we all have one common goal is to share our knowledge about wet shaving and pass on our own knowledge and sell a few things and make some friends along the way too.
Its sort of sad to see that the forums are turning one-sided and favouring one nation.
I live in Canada and have no issues shipping anywhere in the world, If I have an item on the BST I will always included CAN price and US price and for international please enquire. I know when some countries ship they can just drop it off in the mail box and its done, But to ship international you have to fill out an address and whats in the box???? I know that seems like a lot but its really not.
If we are all friends here and truly have a passion for wet shaving why do the boundaries of countries and the effort of scribbling a few things on a piece a paper divide us?
I dont mind paying a few dollars extra to get a razor or product shipped up to me in Canada that I know I cant get up here. Im greatly appreciated that a member took the time to do that for me.
I have had people say its way to expensive to ship up to Canada??? I sit there and shake my head....Really???
If people would take the time to realize that if we are all friends would you really say to a friend you live in another town I can't mail that to you its to much work. You wouldn't do that to a friend now would you?????
All in all, I would like to finish my little rant by saying don't let this wonderful forum turn into what others already have, I know The Shave Nook started as a wonderful place for people all over the world to enjoy lets not lose the worldwide camaraderie we have.
I hope this will make people realize that it isn't that much effort to ship a razor or a brush etc, to a fellow member in another country. Give the TSN members all the same opportunity to enjoy the gems that come up on BST.
I hope I didn't offend anyone or start a thread thats going to get belittled or closed, I just want to see the forum to be fair to all members.
