So I pulled the trigger because I got 10% discount on Connaughtshaving using the code: TSRNIS
Received 10% discount on the Feather DE, the Ikon DE OC with OSS matte handle, on the Mühle Rosegold R41 New Version Rosegold and on the pot of DR Harris Eucalyptus shaving cream - but not on the Merkur 38c, the Merkur 39c and on the Mühle Chrome R89.
I have a sole OSS head plate lying on my desk ready for the Feather AS-D2, but pretty nervously waiting and crossing my fingers that Feather has not changed the design so the Ikon head plates won't work in the new upgraded version of the Feather![Scared Scared]()
But if Feather have made these minor changes, my hope is that they then have made the razor a tad more open and aggressive - or at least that I this time around get a razor that can actually cut my stubble![Tongue Tongue]()
My two old Feather DE razors could not cut 2 days stubble, even if trying an against the grain pass with a brand new Feather blade.
This led me to believe Feather simply must have had some production issues - my DE/razor technique is good enough to use a Feather Artist Club straight and a Mühle R41 2011 version (most aggressive R41 version made) - though not simultaneously
- without cutting my face up in two..... ![Biggrin Biggrin]()
I did not buy the stand this time - as I already own one from the Old Feather TAS-1 DE I bought in early 2012. But I own 30-40 DE razors now and don't worry about stands to be honest![Wink Wink]()
Anyone about to pull the trigger on this Feather AS-D2 ?
I think I got a great discount on the stuff I just bought - very solid razors![Cool Cool]()
