Hi guys! I have two brushes I would like to pass along to someone else. I am going back to smaller brushes and liked trying these, but also want to fund some other purchases.
Both of these brushes were bought from the Superior Shave in late February of this year, 2015. I find that these both give a soft, scritch free face feel. Give these brushes a good load and they will treat your bowl lathering or face lathering experience nicely. I find that these are floppy if you underload them. It feels more stout when you give it some more product and then you can experience the wide bloom of the fan and get it to properly apply lather.
First brush on the left is the VP Leonhardy 70030 Premium Silvertip. It measures at 23mm knot and loft of 60mm. This is really an awesome brush. It comes in a nice white handle that is easy to grip. This has great density and a bit more of a fan shaped knot. This one was more of my favorite of the two. This was only used 3 times. Originally paid $144. Will ship CONUS including a Muhle travel case for $120 via paypal.
Second brush is the VP Leonhardy 700740 Premium Silvertip. This measures at 24mm knot and loft of 67mm. This is more of a bulb shaped knot and gives a bit more control in where you put the lather. It still has a large bloom and will lather nicely as both a face lathering brush or for your bowl. This is in the Faux Tortoise handle. This brush was only used 3 times. Please note, a while back I had test lathered this brush and after use, I put it in the case a bit early. I had mold that grew around the handle knot. I didn't think it was recoverable. But I was very thorough to use dishwash soap, warm water and vinegar wash, and very thorough drying in the sun. Well, luckily the knot survived and is mold free. I am selling this at a bit bigger discount as I am sure some might be a bit worrisome. I would be more than happy to take more pictures of the knot around the handle if you have interest. I originally paid $141 for this brush and will ship CONUS with a Muhle travel case for $110.
Let me know if you have any questions. If you would like both brushes, I can sell both for $215.
